Devlog 3

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since the last devlog, so I thought I'd post something here to update you guys on what exactly is going on with the game.
The first thing that I can share is the new main menu!

It has a system for sub-menus so everything isn't cramped into the same screen and there's room to breath.
Also the background has been changed, with a new animation that took way too long to implement, but I'm happy with it now :)

Besides other small improvements to the game, the main thing I've been working on is the final boss.
This game does not have a planned end point, but I'd like to make an ending for the game. To give you something for playing for as long as you have and beating the bosses.
The fight itself is in the fine tuning stage, the only work left being balance changes.

With this boss I'd consider the story complete, but I'm not sure I'd call this next update the 1.0 release yet (Even though the menu current says 1.0).
There are still some small stuff I'd like to include to make the game more complete, some of those things are:
-Special events that happen between the NPCs, instead of them just walking around all day (Some small stuff, like a picnic).
-Endings (Right now there are two planned, one for beating the  final boss and a secret one).
-A few more rare events similar to the rare cauldron spawn.
-More plants/objects that spawn on sand/mushroom tiles, right now they feel a bit barren and I'd like to fix that.

One last thing is the branding of the page.
I'm generally not the kind of person who likes to advertise myself, since neither I nor anything I make is really anything extraordinary, but I'd like this game to have some good branding.
I think the game can make do with the art I've made for it, even if it isn't good, but I'd rather have something made for at least the page's thumbnail. I'm looking for someone to do it, but we'll see if that pans out.

That's about the progress I've made in the present and my plans for the future, we'll see which of the plans actually comes to pass.
Thank you for reading this far, I'll be sure to post more devlogs once I have more interesting stuff to share.
